What does the NTC2660 air intake hose do?
The NTC2660 air intake hose ducts filtered air from the air cleaner housing to the turbocharger intake on the Land Rover Defender 2.5 Turbo Diesel. It carries clean air into the turbo on the early 2.5 TD engine.
Does this hose fit the 200TDi or 300TDi engine?
No, this hose fits the early 2.5 Turbo Diesel only. It does not fit the later 200TDi or 300TDi engines, which use different air intake ducting. Check your Defender has the early 2.5 TD engine before ordering.
Why does an air intake hose need replacing?
Air intake hoses typically perish, crack or split with age, heat and engine bay oil. A failed hose can let unfiltered air or boost past the filter, which on the 2.5 TD can cause poor running or accelerated engine wear. Replace it if the rubber is hard, cracked or collapsing.
How do I confirm this is the right hose for my Defender?
