Deze past in een voorgevormde opening in het paneel om een vaste draadpunt te bieden voor de schroeven of bouten die sierlijsten, afwerkingen, lampbehuizingen, grille en dashboardonderdelen bevestigen. Dit zorgt voor een stabiele bevestiging waar geen directe metalen schroefbevestiging aanwezig is, en maakt het mogelijk om de bevestigde onderdelen tijdens onderhoud te verwijderen en opnieuw te plaatsen.
