Woodruff spie voor de aandrijving van de injectiepomp op de 2.5L 4-cilinder dieselmotor ( atmosferisch en turbo).

De halfronde spie zit voor de helft in een sleuf in de as en voor de helft in de spiebaan van het aandrijftandwiel, waardoor de twee aan elkaar worden vergrendeld, zodat het krukkoppel zonder slip wordt overgebracht en de hoekverhouding tussen as en aandrijving vaststaat. Dit is wat de aandrijving van de injectiepomp in de juiste getimede positie houdt.

Een afgeschoven of versleten spie zorgt ervoor dat de aandrijving op de as beweegt, waardoor de pompdistributie wordt verstoord.

The Woodruff key locks the injection pump drive gear to its shaft on the 2.5L 4-cylinder diesel engine. The semicircular key seats half in the shaft slot and half in the drive keyway, fixing the angular position so pump timing holds and torque transmits without slip. It's fitted to the Land Rover Defender 2.5L diesel.
How many Woodruff keys are needed?
