Inlaatklepunit is de rubberen stofklep die aan de onderkant van het luchtfilterhuis in het luchtinlaatsysteem van de motor is gemonteerd.

Deze eenrichtingsklep opent onder de drukpulsaties van de inlaat om stof en water te verdrijven die zich onder in het luchtfilterhuis verzamelen, waardoor het filterelement schoon blijft en de levensduur ervan wordt verlengd, terwijl wordt voorkomen dat ongefilterde lucht tussen de pulsaties door wordt aangezogen.

Een versleten of gescheurde klep laat ongefilterde lucht en vuil het filter passeren; het plaatsen van een nieuwe klep herstelt de juiste stofuitstoot en afdichting.
