What does the T2H7707-G mass air flow sensor do?
The mass air flow sensor measures the air entering the engine and reports it to the engine management module, which sets fuelling from that signal. This sensor fits Jaguar XE, XF, F-PACE, E-PACE and XJ petrol and diesel engines.
Does this MAF sensor fit an XJ?
It fits the XJ from 2010 but only from VIN V90866, so earlier XJ builds take a different sensor. It also covers the XE from 2015, XF from 2016, F-PACE from 2016 and E-PACE from 2017 across the 2.0T, 5.0 SC petrol and 2.0D, 3.0D diesel engines.
Is fitting a mass air flow sensor a DIY job?
Replacing the MAF is usually straightforward. It sits in the intake duct downstream of the air filter and connects by a single plug. Take care not to touch the sensing element, and clear any stored fault codes after fitting so the module relearns.
