Frequently asked questions

What is the T2R5102 front lower wishbone?
The T2R5102 is the front lower wishbone, the lower control arm of the F-TYPE (X152) front double-wishbone suspension in rear-wheel-drive form. It locates the bottom of the front hub carrier to the subframe through two inboard bushes and carries the lower ball joint at its outboard end.
Does this wishbone fit all-wheel-drive F-TYPEs?
This wishbone is the rear-wheel-drive configuration for the F-TYPE (X152). All-wheel-drive cars use a different front suspension arrangement, so confirm your car is RWD before ordering. Fitting the wrong drive-type arm affects geometry and clearances at the front hub carrier.
What are the symptoms of a worn front wishbone?
Worn inboard bushes or a worn lower ball joint typically show as vague steering, knocking over uneven surfaces and uneven front tyre wear. Because the arm carries the lower ball joint, play there is safety-relevant on the F-TYPE and should be dealt with promptly.
Do I need an alignment after fitting this wishbone?
Yes. Front wheel geometry must be checked and reset after replacing the lower wishbone, since the arm sets part of the camber and castor. Fit it, then have the front alignment measured and adjusted, otherwise the F-TYPE can pull or wear its front tyres unevenly.
