Frequently asked questions

What does the T2R5910 header tank bleed hose do?
The T2R5910 header tank bleed hose connects the radiator to the coolant header tank on the Jaguar F-TYPE (X152) from 2014. It carries off air and vapour that collect at the top of the radiator, venting them to the tank so no air lock forms, and returns coolant displaced by thermal expansion.
Why do these bleed hoses fail?
Bleed hoses run permanently hot, so the rubber hardens over time and the moulded ends lose their grip on the spigots, causing slow coolant loss. A hose that's weeping or cracked at the ends should be renewed rather than re-clamped on the F-TYPE.
What should I do after fitting a new hose?
After fitting a new bleed hose, bleed the cooling system properly so no air stays trapped in the circuit. Because this hose vents air to the header tank, leaving air in the system can cause hot spots and unreliable temperature control on the supercharged F-TYPE engines.
Which F-TYPE engines does this fit?
This header tank bleed hose fits the Jaguar F-TYPE (X152) from 2014 with the 3.0L supercharged V6 and 5.0L supercharged V8 petrol engines. Confirm your engine with your VIN before ordering, since cooling system hoses vary across the F-TYPE range.
