What is the TAY100060L front hub assembly?

The TAY100060L is a complete front wheel hub unit for the Land Rover Discovery 2 (1999-2004), supplied with the hub bearing, the wheel mounting flange and studs, and a long-lead ABS wheel speed sensor. It mounts to the front stub axle and carries the road wheel on its integral bearing.

Why does this front hub have a long ABS sensor lead?

The extended sensor lead is the factory fix for chafed or broken ABS wiring in the front harness run between the hub and the control module. The long lead routes past the damaged section and connects directly, curing persistent front ABS faults a normal hub or sensor won't clear.

Does this fit either side of the front axle?

Yes, this front hub isn't handed and fits either side of the front axle on the Discovery 2. The kit includes the seal and the ABS sensor, so you have the parts to complete the front hub and drive shaft flange replacement in one unit.
