What is the TF630 big brake kit and what does it do?
The TF630 is a front brake upgrade taking front disc diameter to 340mm from the standard 320mm, raising braking torque and thermal capacity on the Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport L320.
What is included in the 340mm front kit?
The kit replaces the complete front disc and caliper assembly: brake calipers, caliper carrier brackets, brake pads, back plates and 340mm vented discs.
Why fit larger 340mm discs?
The larger diameter increases the radius at which the pads act, raising braking torque for the same pedal effort, while the greater disc mass and swept area add heat capacity and resistance to fade.
What wheels are needed to clear the 340mm kit?
The kit needs 19-inch original alloy wheels, or suitable 18-inch wheels with the appropriate spacers. Confirm wheel clearance over the disc and caliper before ordering.
