Frequently asked questions

What are the TF999BLACK recovery boards used for?

The TF999BLACK is a pair of semi-rigid moulded traction boards for self-recovery when a tyre loses grip in sand, mud or snow. Deep moulded slots and a textured surface spread wheel load to reduce sinking and give the tyre something to bite on. They're supplied as a pair.

Are the TF999BLACK boards sold singly or as a pair?

The TF999BLACK boards are supplied as a pair. Each board flexes to follow uneven ground instead of cracking under load, and has recessed grab handles along each side for carrying, stowing, or use as a scoop to clear material from around a wheel.

What's the difference between TF999BLACK and TF999?

The TF999BLACK and TF999 are the same semi-rigid recovery board, differing only in colour. TF999BLACK is black; TF999 is high-visibility orange, which is easier to spot and recover after use. Both are sold as a pair and function identically.
