Frequently asked questions

What is NLGI-0 grease used for?
NLGI-0 is a soft, semi-fluid grease, and this 400g tin holds grade 0 on the National Lubricating Grease Institute scale. The low grade lets it flow into tight clearances and feed through delivery lines. It's typically used in centralised lubrication systems, enclosed gear and linkage assemblies, and cold conditions where firmer grease won't feed.
What's the difference between NLGI-0 and NLGI-2 grease?
NLGI-0 grease, like this 400g tin, is much softer and semi-fluid compared with general-purpose NLGI-2. Grade 0 is made to flow through centralised systems and into enclosed linkages, where it can feed under cold or confined conditions. Grade 2 is the firmer, stay-in-place choice for wheel bearings and open chassis points.
How is the 400g tin of NLGI-0 grease applied?
The 400g tin is a small pack for hand application or for charging enclosed assemblies and linkages by hand. Its semi-fluid grade 0 consistency spreads and feeds more easily than a firm grease. For larger or centralised systems that need the same soft grade, a 4kg bucket of NLGI-0 is also available.
