Achterklep is de naar beneden scharnierende achterklep van de carrosserie, scharnierend langs de onderrand, zodat deze aan de achterkant van het voertuig naar beneden klapt om de laadruimte te openen en een vlakke laaddrempel vormt wanneer deze neergelaten is.

Deze sluit tegen de achterste carrosserieopening en wordt door zijn vergrendelingen vastgehouden wanneer deze omhoog is. Vervanging herstelt een deugdelijke, correct uitgelijnde achtersluiting wanneer het originele paneel gecorrodeerd of beschadigd is.
