What does the ERR5595 air flow sensor do?
The ERR5595 is the air flow sensor for the V8 EFI petrol engine management system. Mounted in the intake tract between the air filter and throttle, it measures intake air mass and signals it to the ECU to set fuelling.
What are the symptoms of a failing air flow sensor?
A failing air flow sensor typically causes poor running, hesitation, weak power, high fuel use or fault codes on the V8 EFI, as the ECU loses an accurate air reading. Replacing it restores correct fuelling.
Has this sensor been superseded?
This sensor was superseded by ERR5595A, the current replacement, so check which your vehicle needs. It fits Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover P38 V8 EFI, with the P38 to VIN WA410481.
