Frequently asked questions

What is the ERR5595A air flow sensor for?
The ERR5595A is the air flow sensor for the V8 EFI petrol engine management system, sitting in the intake between the air filter and throttle. It measures intake air mass so the ECU can set fuelling for the multi-point injection.
Where is the sensor fitted and what does it suit?
The sensor mounts in the V8 EFI intake tract and feeds the engine ECU an air mass reading. It fits Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover P38 4.0 and 4.6L V8 EFI petrol, the P38 to VIN WA410481.
What are the signs this sensor is failing?
A worn air flow sensor typically brings hesitation, flat spots, poor economy, rough idle or fault codes on the V8 EFI. It's the Autotec OEM sensor and replacing it restores accurate air metering.
