De zuigerveren sluiten de verbrandingsgassen boven de zuigerkop af en reguleren de oliefilm op de cilinderwand, waardoor de compressie behouden blijft en het olieverbruik wordt gecontroleerd. What are these piston rings for?

These piston rings seal combustion gases and control the oil film in the 2.5 litre 200TDi turbo-diesel engine at standard bore size. They hold compression and limit oil consumption during an overhaul. They fit the Land Rover Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic 200TDi.

Are there VIN limits on 200TDi fitment?

Yes. On the Discovery 1 these 200TDi rings apply up to VIN LA081991, and on the Range Rover Classic from VIN JA610294 (1992 to 1994). The Defender 200TDi is covered from 1987 to 2006. Check your chassis number where a VIN break is listed.

Do these suit a rebored engine?

These rings are standard size, for a bore at standard dimensions only. A rebored block needs the matching oversize rings instead. The 200TDi is a four-cylinder engine, so check whether this covers one piston or the full set before ordering.
