The ETC9009 drive belt drives the air conditioning compressor from the crankshaft pulley on the 200TDi turbo diesel engine. It's fitted only to vehicles equipped with air conditioning, and is separate from the main alternator and water pump belt.

Which vehicles use this A/C compressor belt?

This A/C compressor belt fits the Defender 200TDi, Discovery 1 (VIN FA393361 to WA799999) and Range Rover Classic with the 2.4L or 2.5L VM turbo diesel or 200Tdi, in each case only when air conditioning is fitted.

How do I know if I need this belt or the main drive belt?

You need this belt only if your vehicle has air conditioning, as it drives the A/C compressor specifically. Vehicles without A/C don't use it. Check whether the compressor is present and belt-driven before ordering.
