Frequently asked questions

What is the LRT-12-044 flywheel timing pin used for?

The flywheel timing pin locks the flywheel at its timing reference position so the diesel injection pump can be statically timed on the 200TDi and 300TDi engines. It engages a timing hole in the flywheel to hold the crankshaft fixed during pump fitting or timing checks.

Does this timing pin work with both manual and automatic gearboxes?

Yes, this flywheel timing pin suits both manual and automatic gearbox 200TDi and 300TDi applications. It locates against the same flywheel timing reference regardless of transmission, so one pin covers both variants.

How is the flywheel timing pin used during injection pump timing?

The flywheel timing pin engages a hole in the flywheel through the housing, holding the crankshaft at its fixed reference point. This keeps the engine stationary so the 200TDi or 300TDi injection pump can be statically timed during fitting or a timing check.
