What is the Plenum Hose (PEH101540) used for?
The plenum hose is the manifold-to-plenum de-icer hose for the V8 petrol intake. It runs between the inlet manifold and plenum chamber, warming the plenum and throttle area to prevent icing in cold, humid conditions. It fits the Discovery 2 and Range Rover P38 V8 petrol.
Where is the plenum de-icer hose fitted?
The plenum de-icer hose connects the inlet manifold to the plenum chamber on the V8 petrol engine, routing warm air to the throttle and plenum area. On the Discovery 2 and Range Rover P38 it's part of the intake anti-icing arrangement. Perished or split hoses are a common reason for replacement.
Which models does this plenum hose fit?
This plenum hose fits the Discovery 2 (1998-2004) V8 petrol and the Range Rover P38 (1994-2001) with the 4.0 and 4.6 V8 EFI petrol from VIN XA410482. It's petrol V8 only, so check your VIN on P38 models, as earlier builds used a different hose.
