ACE-veerpootactuator - de hydraulische actuator voor de voorste Active Cornering Enhancement (ACE) stabilisatorstang.

ACE vervangt een conventionele passieve stabilisatorstang door een hydraulisch bediende. Deze actuator oefent koppel uit op de voorste stabilisatorstang op verzoek van de ACE-besturingsmodule en hydraulische pomp, waardoor rolbewegingen in bochten worden tegengegaan, terwijl de stang kan ontspannen voor maximale wieluitslag off-road. Het wordt geleverd als een complete actuator-eenheid.

Een defecte actuator of verlies van hydraulische druk resulteert in verhoogde rolbewegingen en een waarschuwing voor een storing in het ACE-systeem.

What does the front ACE strut actuator do?
The front ACE strut actuator is the hydraulic unit that applies torque to the front anti-roll bar on the Discovery 2's Active Cornering Enhancement system. On demand from the ACE module and pump, it stiffens the bar to resist body roll in corners, then relaxes it for wheel articulation off-road.
Which vehicles have the ACE strut actuator?
The ACE strut actuator fits the Discovery 2 (1998-2004) equipped with Active Cornering Enhancement. ACE replaces the passive front anti-roll bar with a hydraulically actuated one, so only ACE-specification vehicles use this part. Standard Discovery 2 models without ACE don't have it.
What are the signs of a failed ACE actuator?
A failed ACE actuator or a loss of hydraulic pressure shows up as increased body roll in corners and an ACE system fault warning on the dash. The suspension can't stiffen the anti-roll bar properly, so the vehicle leans more than usual through bends.
Is the ACE actuator supplied complete?
