The ESR3098 is a small O-ring used at the oil cooler on V8 EFI engines. It seals the oil cooler connection to prevent oil leaks at the joint.

Which vehicles does the ESR3098 fit?

It fits the V8 EFI engine in the Defender (to 2006), Discovery 1, Discovery 2, and Range Rover P38. On the Range Rover Classic it applies from 1986 onward, so earlier Classics may need a different seal.

Can the ESR3098 O-ring be reused when servicing the oil cooler?

It's best not to. O-rings lose their sealing shape once compressed and removed, so fitting a new ESR3098 whenever the oil cooler connection is disturbed reduces the risk of an oil leak.
