Het spoorstanguiteinde is het articulerende kogelgewricht dat de spoorstang met de stuurarm verbindt, stuurbewegingen doorgeeft aan het wegwiel en het gewricht laat draaien tijdens het in- en uitveren van de ophanging. De rechtse schroefdraad grijpt in de bijbehorende spoorstang, en de conische stift wordt in het oog van de stuurarm geplaatst en vastgezet met een kroonmoer.
