Nokkenasoliekeerring voorzijde voor de Td5 2.5L 5-cilinder turbodieselmotor, gemonteerd aan de distributiezijde van de nokkenas in de cilinderkop.

Gelegen aan de nokkenasneus waar deze uit de cilinderkopbehuizing komt en direct achter het nokkenastandwiel, handhaaft de keerring een oliedichte barrière tussen de nokkenastapboring en de distributieruimte, waardoor oliemigratie naar buiten langs de distributiezijde van de kop wordt voorkomen.

Dit is een O-ring type afdichting. De bijbehorende nokkenasoliekeerring achterzijde voor de Td5 is ERR5369.

What does the LDI100030 Camshaft Oil Seal do on the Td5?

LDI100030 is the front camshaft oil seal for the Td5 2.5L engine, fitted at the timing end behind the camshaft sprocket. It prevents oil migration outward from the camshaft journal bore into the timing chest. It's an O-ring type seal specific to the Td5.

When does the LDI100030 front camshaft seal need replacing?

Replace it when you see oil weeping from the timing end of the cylinder head, or whenever the camshaft sprocket is removed during timing belt or camshaft work. It's a single-use seal and should always be renewed as part of a Td5 timing belt job.

Is LDI100030 the only camshaft seal needed on a Td5?

No. The Td5 has both a front and a rear camshaft oil seal. LDI100030 covers the front (timing end) only. If you're doing a full camshaft reseal, the companion rear seal ERR5369 is also needed. The alternative code for LDI100030 is LDI10003.
