Frequently asked questions

What does the handbrake gaiter do?

The handbrake gaiter is a cover that fits over the handbrake lever on Series II, IIA, and III Land Rovers. It seals and finishes the aperture where the lever passes through the interior floor or tunnel, keeping out draughts and dirt.

Does this handbrake gaiter fit all Series models?

This gaiter is specified for 109-inch wheelbase V8-engined Series II, IIA, and III variants. The handbrake lever position and aperture differ across Series body and drivetrain options, so confirm your vehicle is the 109 V8 layout before ordering.

When should the handbrake gaiter be replaced?

Replace the handbrake gaiter when the material has split, hardened, or no longer seals the lever aperture. A perished gaiter typically lets draughts, dust, and water into the cabin around the handbrake on these Series Land Rovers.
