Frequently asked questions

What does the PRC7925 bottle sensor do?
The PRC7925 is a coolant bottle sensor fitted to the Range Rover Classic. It monitors coolant level in the expansion bottle and triggers a warning if the level drops too low.
Why would this sensor fail?
Coolant sensors typically fail from corrosion at the sensor tip or a cracked probe, which causes a false low-coolant warning or no warning at all. A sensor that never triggers, or triggers constantly, usually needs replacing.
Where is the sensor located?
It's fitted directly into the coolant expansion bottle, with the probe extending down into the coolant. Access is usually straightforward once the bottle cap area is clear.
Does this sensor fit other Land Rover models?
Confirmed fitment is Range Rover Classic. If you're fitting this to a different model, check your coolant bottle design first since sensor mounting varies across the range.
