Idler Pulley for the accessory drive belt on the 3.0L AJ20D6 Ingenium diesel (High-output variant). The idler sits in the pulleys and drive belt assembly at the front of the engine, guiding and routing the multi-ribbed accessory belt.

It runs on a sealed bearing and keeps the belt aligned around the ancillary components. A worn idler bearing typically rumbles, whines or seizes, so it is good practice to renew the idler together with the drive belt and tensioner.

Inspect the pulley for roughness, play or noise at each service and replace it if the bearing is worn.
