What is the 2.7 TDV6 exhaust gasket used for?
The exhaust gasket seals the joint between the exhaust manifold and the cross-tube on the 2.7 TDV6 diesel V6, stopping exhaust gas leaking at the manifold face. It's fitted to the Discovery 3, Discovery 4 and Range Rover Sport L320 with the Lion V6 engine.
How many exhaust gaskets are needed for the job?
Typically two are needed for a full job, as the 2.7 TDV6 has a manifold on each cylinder bank meeting the cross-tube. They're usually sold individually, so order the quantity your repair needs. Renew the gasket whenever the manifold or cross-tube is disturbed.

Why does the exhaust gasket fail?
