Brand ARB

Frequently asked questions

What does the differential breather kit do?
The differential breather kit vents pressure build-up from drivetrain assemblies, including the differentials, transmission and transfer case. It relocates the original breather points to a higher, protected spot, which cuts the risk of water being drawn in during river crossings and eases heat-driven pressure cycling.
What's included in the breather kit?
The kit includes an anodised aluminium manifold with five ports, four 8mm push-in fittings, three blanking plugs, an air filter assembly, 8 metres of 8mm polyethylene tubing, two self-tapping screws and twenty-five cable ties. That covers the common diff, gearbox and transfer case breather points.
Where does the breather kit connect on the vehicle?
The breather kit connects to the drivetrain breather points, typically the front and rear differentials, the gearbox and the transfer case. The five-port manifold gathers the relocated hoses in one protected position higher up, away from water and mud during off-road use.
