De voorste uitgaande as draagt de aandrijving van de verdeelbak over naar de voorste aandrijfas, die koppel levert aan de vooras wanneer vierwielaandrijving is ingeschakeld. De as is aan beide uiteinden van spiebanen voorzien om aan te sluiten op het uitgaande tandwiel van de verdeelbak en de flens van het kruiskoppeling van de voorste aandrijfas.
