Frequently asked questions

What is the Stop/Tail Lamp Lens used for?

This is the lens cover for a Lucas L692-pattern rear stop and tail lamp, built to NADA (North American) specification. It's the large version, with a clear lower section over the tail and stop light filaments.

What does NADA specification mean for this lens?

NADA spec refers to the North American lighting pattern, which differs slightly in lens design and light output from the UK/EU market lens for the same lamp unit. Make sure your lamp body matches the NADA pattern before fitting this lens.

How is this lens fitted to the lamp body?

The lens clips over the lamp body, so fitting typically just needs careful unclipping of the old lens and pressing the new one into place. No tools are usually required, though the clips can be brittle on older lenses so work gently.
