The lower inlet manifold gasket seals the lower section of the inlet manifold to the cylinder heads on the AJV8 petrol engines, keeping the intake air path sealed. It fits the 4.4L V8 EFI and 4.2L V8 Supercharged engines.

Should this gasket be renewed when the manifold is off?
Yes, fit a new lower inlet manifold gasket whenever the manifold is removed on the AJV8 engine. A reused gasket often won't reseal the lower manifold-to-head joint, which can cause vacuum leaks, so a fresh gasket is standard practice.
