Deze bout bevestigt het uitlaatspruitstuk aan de cilinderkop. Vanwege de hoge thermische belasting in deze constructie moeten spruitstukbouten bij elke verwijdering van het spruitstuk worden geïnspecteerd en standaard worden vervangen om een betrouwbare afgedichte verbinding te behouden.
