Olive compressie-ring voor het afdichten van een stijve pijp bij een schroefverbinding.

De olijfring zit tussen de wartelmoer en de pijp; wanneer de moer wordt vastgedraaid, drukt deze op de pijp om een brandstofdichte metalen afdichting te vormen. Het wordt gebruikt in de brandstoftoevoerleidingen van de carburateur op de V8 benzinemotor en moet worden vernieuwd wanneer de pijpverbinding wordt losgemaakt.
