Aandrijfas - RH is de rechter binnenas van de vooras, die de aandrijving van het voordifferentieel naar buiten toe overbrengt naar het wiel.

Binnen de vooras brengt de binnenste aandrijfas het koppel van het differentieelzijkanaal over naar de homokinetische koppeling bij de draaiknop, die op zijn beurt de buitenste as en de naaf aandrijft. De bijbehorende linker aandrijfas is AEU1830.

What is the AEU1829 halfshaft and what does it do?
The AEU1829 is the right-hand inner front halfshaft. It transmits drive from the front differential outward to the constant-velocity joint at the swivel, which then drives the outer shaft and hub. It sits inside the front axle casing on the right-hand side.
What's the difference between this and the left-hand halfshaft?
The AEU1829 is the right-hand front inner shaft; the left-hand equivalent is AEU1830. They're side-specific because of length and orientation within the front axle, so order by the side you need. This is the GKN OEM shaft.
How many halfshafts do I need for the front axle?
Typically one AEU1829 covers the right-hand side only. A full front axle has one right-hand and one left-hand inner shaft, so for a both-sides job you'll also need the left-hand AEU1830. Many people replace just the failed side.
Why do front halfshafts fail on a Land Rover?
Front halfshafts typically fail from worn splines, fatigue cracking, or twisting under shock loads from off-road use or aggressive driving. Common signs are clicking or clunking on drive take-up and, in severe cases, loss of drive to that wheel. Inspect the splines at each end when fitting.
