Stuurbekrachtigingspomp is de door de motor aangedreven hydraulische pomp die de kern vormt van het bekrachtigde stuurcircuit op de 300 TDi 2.5L turbodiesel.

De pomp, aangedreven door de motor via een riem, zuigt vloeistof uit het reservoir en levert deze onder druk aan het stuurhuis, waar de interne regelklep die druk gebruikt om de benodigde kracht om de wielen te draaien te verminderen. Een geïntegreerde overdrukventiel beperkt de output van de pomp om het circuit bij volle stuuruitslag te beschermen.

Het pomphuis bevat de toevoeraansluiting van het reservoir en de hogedrukuitgang die naar het stuurhuis loopt.
