What is the ASR1154 bulkhead vent for?
It's the right-hand (off side) hinged vent lid set into the Defender bulkhead, part of the fresh-air ventilation system. Opened, it admits outside air into the footwell; closed, it seals the aperture against draughts and water.
What's the difference between the RH and LH bulkhead vent?
This is the off side (RH) vent lid assembly. The near side (LH) is a separate handed part. They mirror each other, so order the side you need, or both if you're replacing the pair.
Which Defenders does it fit?
Fits the Defender (1987-2006) up to VIN TA989378, and only variants without air conditioning. The vent aperture differs on air-conditioned vehicles, so confirm your VIN and A/C fitment before ordering.
