BK 0006 - Versnellingsbaklagerkit – LT77 – Suffix A-E

This is a bearing kit for the LT77 5-speed manual gearbox used across several Land Rovers. It supplies the bearings to rebuild the box during overhaul. It's matched to the Suffix A to E versions of the LT77, the earlier variants identified by the suffix letter on the gearbox.

This kit fits the Land Rover Defender, Discovery 1 and Range Rover Classic fitted with the LT77 gearbox in Suffix A to E form. Because the LT77 was fitted across several models and later revised, confirm your gearbox is an LT77 in the A to E suffix range before ordering.

The LT77 is the 5-speed manual box, and the suffix letter is stamped on the casing after the serial number. This kit suits Suffix A through E. Later LT77S boxes and other suffixes can use different bearings, so check the suffix stamped on your gearbox rather than the vehicle year.

Worn LT77 bearings typically whine or rumble under load and can produce play in the shafts. The noise often changes between gears or with road speed. When the box is stripped for these symptoms, a bearing kit like this is fitted to renew the worn bearings during rebuild.
