Frequently asked questions

What is the ARB CKMA12 air compressor used for?
The CKMA12 is an ARB on-board single-motor 12V compressor for permanent vehicle mounting. It supplies compressed air to operate ARB Air Locker differentials, and with the appropriate manifold or pump-up kit it can also inflate tyres. It's an OEM ARB unit.
What's included with the CKMA12 compressor?
The CKMA12 comes with the wiring loom, including the Air Locker solenoid connections, a mounting bracket with hardware, and an isolating switch. The unit uses a hard-anodised cylinder bore and a ball-bearing motor with thermal protection and an over-pressure safety valve.
Can the CKMA12 inflate tyres as well as operate the diff lockers?
The CKMA12 operates ARB Air Locker differentials directly through its solenoid circuit. It can also inflate tyres, but only when paired with the appropriate ARB manifold or pump-up kit. On its own it's plumbed for locker operation, so add the inflation kit if you want both functions.
