What is the Td5 cylinder head set?
The Td5 cylinder head set supplies the ancillary seals and gaskets used around the cylinder head of the Td5 2.5 litre 5-cylinder turbo diesel when it is removed and refitted.
Does this set include the head gasket?
No. This set does not include the main cylinder head gasket. On the Td5 the head gasket is graded to piston protrusion and must be selected separately.
How do I know I need the EARLY set and not the late one?
Check your engine number. The EARLY set covers Defender Td5 engines up to number 1A622423 and Discovery 2 Td5 up to 1A736339. Later engines take the LATE set (DA2112G-LATER).
Which models does the EARLY Td5 head set fit?
It fits the Land Rover Defender (1986 to 2006) and Discovery 2 (1998 to 2004) with the Td5 engine, on the early engine-number build. Confirm the engine number before ordering.
