Frequently asked questions

What is the Shock Absorber Turret used for?
The Shock Absorber Turret locates the upper mount of each front shock absorber to the inner wing on the Land Rover Discovery 2. This is the standard-height version, so it keeps the factory shock geometry.
How many shock turrets do I need?
They're supplied as a pair, covering both front shock absorbers on the Discovery 2. You typically replace both sides together so the front suspension stays balanced.
Where on the vehicle do the shock turrets sit?
The shock turrets sit at the top of the front suspension, bracketing the upper mount of each front shock absorber to the inner wing structure of the Discovery 2.
Why do the original Discovery 2 turrets fail?
The original enclosed turrets trap mud and debris, which typically leads to corrosion and awkward cleaning. This skeletonised open-frame version sheds debris instead and gives a stronger mounting.
