What is the DA8884 security lock for?
The DA8884 security lock is a swivel locking cover that fits over a quick-release steering wheel boss to stop the wheel being released and removed by anyone without the key. When locked, it shrouds the quick-release collar so the steering wheel can't be detached.
Which quick-release bosses does the lock fit?
The security lock fits 36- and 48-spline quick-release bosses, and is designed around the Optimill quick-release boss. It's universal to those boss types rather than a specific vehicle, so check your boss is a 36 or 48 spline quick-release before ordering.
Does it come with keys?
Yes, the security lock is supplied complete with a lock and two keys, so you have a spare. Once fitted over the quick-release collar, the wheel stays locked to the boss until you unlock the cover, deterring opportunist theft of an aftermarket wheel.
