Frequently asked questions

What is the ELD500410G water shedder and what does it do?
The ELD500410G is the water shedder for the right-hand rear side door, upper section. Fitted inside the door, it forms a barrier that directs water draining down the inside of the door skin away from the trim panel and interior components.
Which models does this water shedder fit?
This water shedder fits the Land Rover Defender (2007-2016) in 110 and 130 wheelbase form, right-hand rear side door, upper position. It's the upper section, so check whether your repair also needs the lower shedder for that door.
Why does the door water shedder need replacing?
A torn, detached or perished water shedder lets water reach the door trim and internal components, leading to damp trim and corrosion on the Defender rear door. Renewing it and resealing to the door restores the barrier. Position it so drainage runs behind the trim.
