Krukasconstructie voor de 2.5L 300TDi turbo-dieselmotor - de roterende as aan de onderkant van het cilinderblok die de heen en weer gaande beweging van de zuigers omzet in een roterende aandrijving.

Draaiend in de hoofdlagers in het carter, nemen de kruktappen van de krukas de drijfstangen op, zodat de zuigers deze door elke arbeidsslag aandrijven. De neus draagt de distributietandwiel en de voorste poelie, terwijl de achterflens het montagevlak voor het vliegwiel vormt. Geleverd als een gebalanceerde constructie voor de 300TDi.

What is the ERR2112 crankshaft for?
The ERR2112 is a balanced crankshaft assembly for the 2.5-litre 300TDi turbo-diesel engine. It runs in the main bearings at the base of the block, taking the connecting rods so the pistons drive it into rotary motion. The nose carries the timing gear and the rear flange mounts the flywheel.
Which Land Rovers use the ERR2112 300TDi crankshaft?
ERR2112 fits the 2.5 300TDi engine in the Defender (1987-2006), Discovery 1 (1989-1998, VIN FA393361 to MA081992) and Range Rover Classic (1992-1994, from VIN JA610294). It's specific to the 300TDi and won't fit the earlier 200TDi or later Td5.
Does the ERR2112 crankshaft come balanced and ready to fit?
ERR2112 is supplied as a balanced assembly for the 300TDi. During a rebuild the crank journals still need checking and the correct main and big-end bearing shells selecting to size, with end-float set as the crank goes back into the block.
What causes a 300TDi crankshaft to fail?
A 300TDi crankshaft typically fails from bearing wear or oil starvation that scores the journals, often after neglected oil changes or a spun bearing. End-float wear and, less often, cracking at a journal radius can also condemn the shaft. A knocking bottom end usually points to the crank or bearings.
