Deze zeskantbout met binnendraad is één van de set die het kleppendeksel op zijn pakking klemt, waardoor de bovenkant van de kop wordt afgedicht tegen olielekkage. Het wordt gewoonlijk samen met de kleppendekselpakking (ERR2409) en afdichtring (ERR3429) vernieuwd telkens wanneer het deksel wordt verwijderd, bijvoorbeeld om klepspelingen af te stellen.

What is the ERR4834 screw used for?
The ERR4834 is a rocker cover screw that secures the rocker (valve) cover to the top of the cylinder head on the 2.5L 300 TDi diesel. It clamps the cover down onto its gasket to seal the top of the head against oil leaks.
How many of these screws are needed per engine?
Typically 3 are needed per vehicle, the set that holds the rocker cover down. They're usually renewed along with the rocker cover gasket whenever the cover is removed, for example to set valve clearances.
Which Land Rovers does this screw fit?
This screw fits the 300 TDi Defender and Discovery 1, plus the Range Rover Classic 1992-1994 from VIN JA610294 with the 2.5L TDi. It does not fit 200 TDi engines. Use your VIN to confirm the Range Rover Classic build.
