The ERR5099 bypass hose carries coolant through the bypass route at the water pump on the 2.5L 300TDi engine. It lets coolant circulate while the thermostat is closed, so the engine warms evenly before the main radiator circuit opens.

Does the bypass hose need any clamps to fit?

The bypass hose is secured with two hose clamps in the 16-27mm range, as noted in the fitment data. Check your existing clamps are sound when fitting the ERR5099 on a 300TDi, as a weak clamp on the bypass route typically causes a coolant weep at the water pump.
