Genuine Part
Genuine: Original manufacturer part. This product is the original part designed and produced by the vehicle manufacturer.

Frequently asked questions

What is the ERR7375 camshaft sprocket and what does it do?
The ERR7375 camshaft sprocket is part of the timing drive at the front of the 4.0L and 4.6L V8 petrol engine. Driven by the timing chain from the crankshaft, it turns the camshaft in time with the crankshaft to control valve timing. Fits Discovery 2 and Range Rover P38 V8.
When should the V8 camshaft sprocket be replaced?
Replace the camshaft sprocket when the timing chain is renewed or when the teeth show wear. Worn sprocket teeth or a stretched chain typically cause timing error and a rattle from the front of the engine on the P38 and Discovery 2 V8.
Should the camshaft sprocket be replaced with the timing chain?
Yes, the camshaft sprocket is best renewed together with the timing chain as a set. A new sprocket running on a worn chain wears quickly and can throw valve timing on the 4.0L and 4.6L V8, so fitting both together restores accurate timing.
