Brandstoffilter voor benzine-injectiesystemen (EFI), geplaatst in de brandstoftoevoerleiding onder druk, tussen de brandstofpomp en de injectorrail.

Het filter verwijdert vaste verontreinigingen uit de brandstof voordat deze de injectoren bereikt, waardoor het injectiesysteem wordt beschermd en een correcte brandstoftoevoer wordt gehandhaafd. Het filter is een afgedichte bus met in- en uitlaatverbindingen en een op het huis aangegeven stroomrichting.

Een vervangingsonderdeel, te vernieuwen volgens het geplande brandstoffilterinterval.

What does this inline fuel filter do?

The inline fuel filter removes particulate contaminants from petrol before it reaches the injectors on EFI systems. It's fitted in the pressurised supply line between the fuel pump and the injector rail, protecting the injection system and keeping fuel delivery correct.

Which models does this fuel filter fit?

Fits petrol EFI and MPi systems on the Defender V8 EFI (1986-2006), Discovery 1 (to VIN TA520867), Range Rover Classic V8 and Range Rover P38 4.0 and 4.6 V8 (to VIN WA410481), plus Series II/III. Confirm by VIN where a cut-off applies.

Does fuel flow direction matter when fitting?

Yes. The filter has a flow direction arrow marked on the body and must be fitted the right way round between the pump and injector rail. Fitting it backwards restricts fuel delivery, so relieve fuel pressure before disconnecting the lines.

When should the inline fuel filter be replaced?

Replace it at the scheduled fuel filter service interval, or sooner if you notice fuel starvation symptoms like hesitation, power loss or hard starting. A clogged filter restricts flow to the injectors. Check your vehicle's service schedule for timing.
