The FTC1752 is a retaining circlip for the mainshaft of the LT77 5-speed gearbox. It locates in a groove on the mainshaft to hold the gears and synchroniser hubs in their correct position along the shaft.
Which LT77 gearboxes does the FTC1752 circlip fit?
This circlip fits Suffix H LT77 5-speed gearboxes in the Defender (1987-2006, gearbox codes 50A, 56A, 60A, 61A), Discovery 1 (1989-1998, VIN FA393361 to WA799999) and Range Rover Classic (1986-1994). Earlier LT77 boxes use a different circlip, so check your suffix.
Can the mainshaft circlip be reused?
