Frequently asked questions

What is the GA1152 bonnet hinge kit for?
GA1152 is a pair of bonnet hinges forming the pivot between the bonnet and front body panel on the Defender. It replaces original hinges that corrode and seize, causing the bonnet to stiffen and sit out of alignment with the wings.
What's included in the GA1152 kit?
The kit contains billet aluminium hinges, hinge bushes and stainless steel bolts needed to refit both sides of the Defender bonnet in one job.
Why choose the silver anodised aluminium hinge over the standard Defender part?
The Defender's original pressed hinge brackets tarnish and seize at the pivot. GA1152's billet aluminium construction with silver anodising resists that corrosion, keeping the bonnet pivot moving freely.
