What does this sump pan kit do?
This kit converts the ZF 6HP26/6HP28 six-speed automatic transmission from its original one-piece sump with a non-serviceable filter to a separate pan and replaceable filter. It includes a steel sump pan with drain plug, a transmission filter, gasket and fixing screws.
Why would I want to convert to this setup?
Once fitted, future fluid and filter changes are done by draining through the plug and unbolting the pan, rather than removing the exhaust and raising the engine on its mounts to pull the original one-piece sump and filter assembly. It makes routine servicing considerably quicker.
Which vehicles use this gearbox?
This fits the Discovery 3 (2005-2009) and Discovery 4 (2010-2016) with the ZF 6HP26/6HP28 six-speed automatic. Confirm your transmission code before ordering, since other Land Rover models may use different ZF gearbox variants.
