De remschoenen zetten uit tegen de binnenzijde van de handremtrommel op de uitgaande as van de tussenbak om het voertuig stil te houden wanneer de handrem wordt aangetrokken. Dit is het direct werkende, kabelbediende type. Geleverd als een set remschoenen; de remschoenhoudveren (ICW100050) en de steller (ICW500020) zijn afzonderlijk verkrijgbaar.

The shoes expand against the inside of the drum to hold the vehicle when the handbrake's applied. Yes, this kit is a complete set of shoes for the transmission drum brake, enough for one handbrake. The retention springs and the adjuster (ICW500020) aren't included, they're supplied separately. Check those parts before fitting, since corroded springs or a seized adjuster often come to light once the drum is off.
